Klondike Gold Rush – Seattle Unit

Klondike Gold Rush – Seattle Unit is located at the northern end of the Inside Passage the towns of Dyea and Skagway became ports for stampeders headed across the Chilkoot or White Passes. When the Seattle Unit of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park transferred to the cultural building in Pioneer Square, they referred to as on EDX to plan and also design latest interpretive displays. On getting into, visitors are generally welcomed with an archway and so are transferred to the year 1898 where they become a member of stampedes over the dangerous vacation to the Klondike. They experience immersive environments that symbolize each step over the Gold Rush route: outfitting in Seattle, traveling to Alaska, crossing Chilkoot Pass, constructing a boat to go down the Yukon River, and trying to find nuggets in the gold fields. All programs are no cost and offered to the general public. Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park is a unit of the National Park System.

Winter Operating Hours: September 7, 2010 – June 16, 2011

Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The park is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Winter Program Schedule

No daily scheduled interpretive programs can be found. Park movies (Days of Adventure Dreams of Gold, Seattle Gateway to the Goldfields, and Hiking the Chilkoot Trail) are shown on a request basis. All programs are free.
