Camping in Newhalem Campground, North Cascades National Park, WANewhalem Campground is located adjacent to the North Cascades National Park Newhalem Visitor Center. The campground itself lies within the Ross Lake National Recreation Area.

There are not electric hook ups for RV’s however, sites are spacious and there is a dump station at the campground. Flush toilets and running water, but no showers.

There are several trailheads located within the park for short interpretive trails, longer trails and even long distance hiking trails are nearby. The campground is walking distance to the small town of Newhalem and also to the North Cascades National Park Visitor Center. Close to both lake and river fishing and boating.

Newhalem Campground is near many natural and historic destinations. A series of short walks and interpretive trails link the campground to the natural and historic destinations.

This campground is located within a hydro electric project – a warning system is in place to notify campers of high water. See entrance area or campground staff for specific information upon arrival.
There is a 2 night minimum stay requirement for all group sites.
Reservations must be made at least 3 day in advance.
Wildlife is present in the park, and all food must be stored away in sealed containers until use. Violators subject to fine.
Reservations for family single sites (Loop C) are taken from June 20 through September 6; sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis outside the reservation season.
Reservations for group sites are taken from May 1 through October 11.

To reach the North Cascades, drive Washington State Route 20, the North Cascades highway, from Burlington on the West and Twisp on the East.
